If your BlueDriver lights up solid red immediately after you plug it in this indicates it is in firmware recovery mode. Typically this will happen if your phone disconnects or power is lost mid way through a firmware update.


In recovery mode you will not be able to connect to the scanner/vehicle when you start the app, but you will be able to run another firmware update to get it up and running again.


To recover your firmware follow the standard Firmware Update steps - you will see an error message when first launching the app, but continue on to the update page and the app will force a bluetooth connection to reinstall the device firmware.
