iPhone & iPad
All iOS devices running iOS 10.2 or higher are fully compatible with BlueDriver. To check what version of iOS you have:
- Go to the 'settings' menu on your device and tap "General"
- Tap on "About"
- Scroll down and locate "Version"
Android
All Android devices running Android 6.0 or higher are fully compatible with BlueDriver.
Important Notes:
- Some low cost Android tablets may not have Bluetooth and will not be compatible with the app & scanner
If in doubt, check under "Settings" for a "Bluetooth" option
You can also try installing the BlueDriver app from the Google Play Store - if your device does not have bluetooth Google Play will not permit the app to be installed - Android Head Units/Radios may not be compatible - many aftermarket Android based stereos run on a common Rom which blocks BlueDriver from pairing. Unfortunately this appears to be intentional (often the manufacturers sell their own rebranded scan tool) and there is no current workaround
To check what version of Android you have:
- Go to the 'settings' menu on your device and tap "System"
- Tap on "About phone"
- Scroll down until you see "Android version"
Note: There may be some variation between versions of Android and different phones, so you may not see the exact menus pictured but the general steps should be the same
