Pairing your BlueDriver

Your BlueDriver can be paired either through the BlueDriver app or through your phone/tablet's Bluetooth settings menu.

Option 1 - In-App Pairing:

  1. Turn the ignition on

  2. Plug in your BlueDriver

  3. Wait for the solid blue light to go out

Note: From this point on you have 60 seconds to pair your BlueDriver, if more than a minute passes you can trigger pairing mode by removing it and plugging it back in again.

  4. Start the BlueDriver app.

  5. Tap 'Connect' in the top/right hand corner of the app

  6. Tap 'Allow' to enable Location Services

Note: Location services are required on Android devices for in-app pairing, the BlueDriver app will not access your gps or other location data. If you would prefer not to enable location services, your BlueDriver can be paired manually using option #2 below.

  7. Tap "Scan for BlueDriver Sensors"

  8. Select your new BlueDriver under "Other Available BlueDriver Sensors"

  9. If asked to confirm a PIN or code you can tap "Pair" or "OK"
If your phone requires a pin you can enter 0000 or 1234

Option 2 - Manual Pairing:

  1. Turn the ignition completely off (keys can be removed)

  2. Plug in your BlueDriver

  3. Wait for the solid blue light to go out

Note: From this point on you have 60 seconds to pair your BlueDriver, if more than a minute passes you can trigger pairing mode by removing it and plugging it back in again.

  4. Go to your device's bluetooth settings menu

  5. On some devices you may need to tap "search" or "scan" to begin searching for bluetooth devices. If you see a spinning wheel your phone or tablet is searching for new devices.

  6. Once BlueDriver appears in the list tap on it to pair

  7. Some phones may request that you confirm a passkey, if this window appears tap "OK" or "Pair" to continue

  8. Now you can start your ignition, start the app, and get diagnosing!

  9. If your phone does not connect automatically you can tap on 'connect' in the top/right hand corner.

If at any time you run in to trouble you can remove the BlueDriver, plug it in and try to pair again - if it doesn't help please contact us and let us know what you experienced and on which step and we'll get you up and running ASAP!
